Salisbury Mascot Conceptualization

I reimagined Salisbury University's mascot, Sammy the Seagull and attempted to bring him into the 21st century of sports/ collegiate mascot design. I kept the character as close as possible to the original; matching his confident stride, his muscular frame, and his determined stare in the process. I also added some personalization to Sammy to make him feel more unique and fully-fleshed out by adding the head feather to the back, and adding color to his eyes. I made his pose more aggressive, as i felt that his confidence and strength should be exhibited in the school's mascot to show the spirit of Salisbury on and off the field.
